Smile Asia Week
The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur, is celebrating this Mother’s Day by giving back and spreading smiles. As part of the group’s ‘Smile Asia Week’, the Hotel will be selling specially designed gift cakes in support of Operation Smile – an international charity that provides smile-giving surgery for children with cleft lips and palates. All proceeds will be sent to Operation Smile.
I purchased a cake to support the cause this week and shared it with my colleagues. It turned out to be a rich, intense mousse cake with a decadent dark chocolate topping and a light crunch in the base. The rapid disappearance, up to the very last crumb, minutes after presenting it, is testament to the deliciousness of the dessert.
